District Legal Services Authority Burdwan is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 98 posts of Para Legal Volunteer . 1. PARA LEGAL VOLUNTEER
No. of Vacancies: 98 Nos.
Candidates should have a capacity for over all comprehension and should have mindset to assist the needy in society coupled with the compassion, empathy and concern for the upliftment of marginalized and weaker sections of the society.
Eligibility/ Preference will be given to the following categories of applicants –
i) Teachers (including retired teachers).
ii) Retired Government servants and senior citizens.
iii) M.S.W students and teachers.
iv) Anganwadi workers.
vi) Students & Law Students (till they enroll as lawyers).
vii) Members of non-political, service oriented NGOs and Clubs.
viii) Members of Women Neighbourhood Groups, Maithri Sanghams and other Self Help Groups
including of marginalized/vulnerable groups.
ix) Educated prisoners with good behaviour, serving long term sentences in prisons.
x) Any other person whom the District Legal Services Authority or Taluk Legal Services Committee
deems fit to be identified as PLVs.
Age Limit: Not be less than 21 years
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Interview.
