Rail Wheel Factory is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 192 posts of Apprentices for the year 2017-18 under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format (See PDF below) along with testimonials. Trade wise vacancies:

(i) Fitter- 85 posts (UR-43, SC-13, ST-06, OBC-23)
(ii) Machinist- 31 posts (UR-16, SC-05, ST-02, OBC-08)
(iii) Mechanic (Motor Vehicle)- 08 posts (UR-04, SC-01, ST-01, OBC-02)
(iv) Turner- 05 posts (UR-03, SC-01, OBC-01)
(v) CNC Programming-cum-Operator (COE Group)– 23 posts (UR-12, SC-03, ST-02, OBC-06)
(vi) Electrician- 18 posts (UR-09, SC-03, ST-01, OBC-05)
(vii) Electronic Mechanic– 22 posts (UR-11, SC-03, ST-02, OBC-06)


Educational Qualification: Matriculation passed or its equivalent with minimum 50% aggregate marks and passed ITI in relevant trades.


Age Limit: Should have completed 15 years and should not have completed 24 years as on 29.11.2017.


Stipend: Rs.6081/- for CNC Programming-cum-Operator & Rs.6841/- for rest of the trades per month.


Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.


Note: Candidates who have registered their names with the Employment Exchanges falling within the State of Karnataka are only eligible. The registration should be current and valid as on the date of issue of Notification. Wards of Serving Railway Employees all over the Indian Railways are also eligible.


The candidates will be on Apprenticeship Training for a period of One (01) Year & for CNC Programming-cum-Operator the training will be only for a period of Six (06) months.


Candidates’ Selection: The selection of the candidates will be on the basis of marks obtained in Academic qualification.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.100/- as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Indian Postal Order/ Demand Draft drawn in favour of Principal Financial Adviser/ Rail Wheel Factory.
