ISRO-National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 26 posts of Junior Research Fellows . Candidates selected for the post will be on contractual basis for a period of two years. Selected candidates are likely to be posted at NRSC – Earth Station, Shadnagar campus, Mahabubnagar District, Telangana State (OR) at NRSC, Hyderabad and RRSC-Jodhpur. 1. JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWS (JRF 1)
No. of Vacancies: 05 Nos.
Educational Qualification: First Class Marks in ME/M.Tech in Geophysics/ Oceanography & Meteorology/ Earth Ocean & Climate Science/ Atmospheric Science/ Meteorology/ Climatology or equivalent OR M.Sc. in Marine Sciences/ Oceanography/ Physics/ Geophysics/ Atmospheric Science or equivalent with UGC-CSIR NET/ GATE or equivalent with 65% marks.
Desirable: Knowledge in one or more of the following:
i) Processing of Satellite data and willing to participate in cruises for in-situ data collection OR
ii) Numerical methods and Computer Programming OR
iii) Macro programming for Surface Energy balance in open source environment.
Age Limit: Maximum-28 years as on 01.07.2017.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.25,000/- per month.

 

2. JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWS (JRF 02)
No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos.
Educational Qualification: First Class Maraks in ME/M.Tech in Geology/ Applied Geology/Earth Sciences or equivalent OR M.Sc in Geology /Applied Geology/Earth Sciences or equivalent with UGC-CSIR NET/ GATE or equivalent with 65% marks.
Desirable: Working knowledge in Microwave Remote Sensing & Geophysical Survey / Remote Sensing & GIS.
Age Limit: Maximum-28 years as on 01.07.2017.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.25,000/- per month.

 

3. JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWS (JRF 03)
No. of Vacancies: 08 Nos.
Educational Qualification: First Class marks in ME/M.Tech in Remote Sensing/Remote Sensing & GIS/Geo-Informatics and Remote Sensing / Geoinformatics/ Environmental Geoinformatics or equivalent.
Desirable: Knowledge in one or more of the following:
i) Modeling specially in environmental parameters OR
ii) Hyperspectral image data format and processing OR
iii) ENVI/IDL/Python or comparable image analysis tools OR
iv) Programming and microwave remote sensing OR
v) Water Resources/hydrology.
Age Limit: Maximum-28 years as on 01.07.2017.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.25,000/- per month.

 




4. JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWS (JRF 04)
No. of Vacancies: 10 Nos.
Educational Qualification: First class marks in ME/M.Tech in Water Resources Engineering/ Hydraulics Engineering /Hydrology / Soil & Water Conservation/ Remote Sensing / GIS /Geoinformatics/ Geomatics or equivalent after B.E/B.Tech or equivalent in Civil/Environmental/ Agricultural Engineering with 65% marks.
Desirable: Knowledge in Water Resources/Hydrology/ GIS/ Remote Sensing.
Age Limit: Maximum-28 years as on 01.07.2017.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.25,000/- per month.

 

Note: Candidates awaiting for result need not apply.

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be made based on performance in the Interview.

Candidates selected for the post will be on contractual basis for a period of two years. Selected candidates are likely to be posted at NRSC – Earth Station, Shadnagar campus, Mahabubnagar District, Telangana State (OR) at NRSC, Hyderabad and RRSC-Jodhpur.

Candidates selected for the post will be on contractual basis for a period of two years. After successful completion of two years as Junior Research Fellow, the selected candidates will be posted as Senior Research Fellow.
